Description

This catalogue for the exhibition on Perrault’s work at the Architekturzentrum Wien (Dominique Perrault Architecture, Meta-Buildings, 06.07.2006–23.10.2006) shows four current projects at four different locations: the two high-rise towers for Vienna in the Donau-City, the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, the Ewha Campus Center in Seoul and the Olympic Tennis Stadium in Madrid. Conceived in close relationship to their surroundings, Perrault’s buildings represent additional functional and spatial proposals in the urban context and offer intermediate spaces as a continuation of public space — often in the areas between the characteristic building envelopes and the building elements.
