Dietmar Steiner’s interesting interview with Jon Jerde, whose office the jerde partnership was represented at the congress by David Rogers, a short summary of Rod Sheard’s lecture on the subject of stadium construction and another interview conducted with him by Bernhard Hachleitner of the great soccer magazine “ballesterer” following his lecture can be found in this Background. Hal Rothman, historian and sociologist at the University of Las Vegas describes the different facets of the “Neon Oasis” Las Vegas, from its origins 101 years ago now until today.
The two Austrian architectural firms querkraft and Delugan Meissl – the crowd pullers at the congress – presented their designs and project documentation for the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and the Adi Dassler Brand Center in Herzogenaurach.
