Open Door at the Az W

As guests of the Architekturzentrum Wien Architecture Lounge, on 26 October admission is free for everybody interested in architecture. The exhibitions are open for you from 10:00–18:00 and a varied programme awaits.

10:00–18:00 The Construction Site of the Construction Site
The exhibition “Temporary: Structures of Necessity” focuses on the provisional and the temporary and explores what we can learn from temporary structures such as construction site facilities, shade nets, and flood barriers. On Open Door Day, the exhibition—which will be on view at the Az W starting in November—is itself still a construction site—one that we’re opening to our visitors ahead of schedule.

Drawing often reveals a different layer of meaning in built environments, especially when the educators can share a few stories about the objects in addition to offering technical drawing tips.
