The dynamics of the site on main arteries leading out of town with heavy traffic hallmarks the two contrasting developments. ARTEC’s housing complex with the clearly structured concept of buildings arranged parallel to one another gains its expressive appearance by means of the penetration of two two-storey projecting blocks of different heights.
In the undefined urban volume of Shopping City Süd the speed of modern forms of conveyance has become the basis of the design for the new motorbike centre. In its functional symbolism the contour of the skeleton structure conveys the dynamics of the site. The transparency of the shining glass facade projects the streamlined aesthetic of the machines to the outside.
