New concepts in the field of pharmaceutics have engendered the need for new architectural thinking, at the heart of which lie the connection to nature, in medical as well as in spatial terms, and an emphasis on customer service. To reflect the newly defined priorities, pharmacies offer private booths for consultation, generously designed salesrooms and a range of hand-crafted natural remedies based on plant extracts.

The convent garden in Aspern, a show-garden dedicated to the cultivation of medicinal herbs, symbolizes the rediscovery of natural healing fused with new pharmaceutical ideas.
