Lecture by Frank Barkow (Barkow Leibinger Architects, Berlin)

The German-American team of architects Barkow Leibinger has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years with a series of award-winning industrial building projects in Germany and the United States. Particular attention was paid around the world to the studio’s design for the American pavilion for the Expo 2000 in Hannover, which was regrettably never realised. In the lecture on their work ‘site-seeing industrial suburbia’ Barkow Leibinger Architekten will be presenting selected buildings and projects, all of which themetise the relationship between architecture and landscape in connection with an industrial aesthetic and functionality.
