The designs by CaravanAtelier are produced by hand using sustainable local materials. They have a preference for wood, straw, jute, clay, earth and plant-dyed fabrics — natural materials. In their discussion and speaking about their approaches, parallels can be drawn between the architectural practice of Anupama Kundoos and Caravanatelier, and opportunities emerge to reflect more deeply on key issues in architectural production with regards to materials, craftsmanship, time and sustainability.
