For the Architekturtage, we are opening our Collection Depot & Research Centre, and invite you to an afternoon tour featuring iconic and surprising objects of relavance to the Austrian architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries. From 17:00, we’ll also be saying: Happy Birthday, Adolf Krischanitz! In the company of distinguished guests, we showcase five buildings selected from his extensive estate — from the bright yellow former-Kunsthalle on Karlsplatz to the jet-black Neue Welt School in Vienna’s Leopoldstadt district. How does Krischanitz manage to consistently imbue his ostensibly minimalist formal language with narrative depth?
