Exhibition “La fiesta de la Arquitectura” – 500 years of Architecture in Andalusia

On the occassion of the 500-year anniversary of the rediscovery of America a collection of Andalusian architectural masterpieces was made, from the Mauresque influences, renaissance and baroque to modern art. From the end of the 70s until today, Spanish architecture has developed sensationally. Architecture from Andalusia, enriched by the dialogue of cultures, has especially brilliant examples to offer.

This gave enough reason to present an exhibition on 500 years of Andalusian architecture ranging from the Spanish renaissance to the highlights from EXPO ’92 in Seville. “Transformaciones” is the orignal title of the exhibition originating in Seville and refers to the socio-cultural transitions that are echoed in architecture.
