A tour of a diversity of buildings completed in Klosterneuburg by Heinz Tesar between 1986 and 2006: Schömer House, a protestant church and infrastructure in Klosterneuburg Abbey.

Commissioned with designing the heating system and an underground car park at Klosterneuburg Abbey, complete with new access, Heinz Tesar developed a hybrid between landscape and (concrete) architecture. The visit to Schömer House and the evangelical church tells of a special architect-builder relationship: Agnes and Karlheinz Essl were associated with Tesar for almost 40 years, and they enabled the self-styled architect and freelance artist to complete a number of very special space/light compositions. Tesar died in early 2024, and his estate is now part of the Az W Collection.
