The exhibition 'Hollein Calling. Architectural Dialogues' was preceded by an interview project where 15 European architecture offices were asked about their relationship to Hans Hollein. Now they all come together in a conversation.

In some offices, the ties with Hans Hollein are readily discernible, in other cases there are only indirect commonalities. What they all share is a readiness to engage with Hollein’s work with an open view and without ideological barriers even if they often hold contradictory positions. ‘Hollein Calling’ brings together a divers and un-homogeneous group of architects. What unites them is the close connection between their building practice and participation in international discourses. They are fascinated by architecture as a cultural phenomenon and are interested in its historical dimension as a source for their own design and research.
