Bringing climate change adaptation and green space equity to the streets: The evening is dedicated to a discussion of international strategies and lessons learned from practice, and asks: How do we make our cities climate-fit – for everybody?
The streets are the setting for the mobility transition and an important spatial resource for green space equity in the context of climate change. The ecological and social significance of their transformation into multifunctional public space is scientifically proven, and demonstrated by innovative planning practice. However the implementation is slow to progress. Which political and planning instruments are there that would help speed up the transformation of street space? What are strategies that create space for political action?
