At the Az W: Municipal housing in Vienna, 1920 to 2020

Municipal housing in Vienna is a model for successful housing policies and social justice for all other European cities and countries. Municipal housing is a stabilising factor for society and counteracts housing speculation and social injustice. The multimedia travelling exhibition presents the history of municipal housing and its importance for the Viennese population and society in general – from the early beginnings in the 1920s to today including future perspectives. The exhibition illustrates the continuous interaction between society, technology, and urban planning.
