The Austrian Architecture Foundation was founded in 1996 by architecture initiatives in the federal states, the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Architektur (Austrian Society for Architecture) and the Zentralvereinigung der Architekten Österreichs. To celebrate its 10th jubilee the Foundation is sampling a large family gathering with benefactors and companions, discussing the structure and dynamics of social networks and celebrating a party with insights into the Austrian architecture scene(s).

As a network of Austrian architecture initiatives, the Foundation promotes understanding for Austrian contemporary architecture among politicians, local administrations and the public, playing a key role in the safeguarding of a culture of building. The Foundation’s aim is to instil people with enthusiasm for architecture, and to make them discerning partners in the design of the built environment.
