What We Have Made

Inspired by Foucault's lecture of the same title, we direct our gaze to what is in-between space and time. What makes spaces like the convent, like the disused factory or like a construction site ‘different’? What does it mean to 'lose touch with the present' and how temporary is the state in-between.

Die Arbeiter*innen verlassen die Fabrik, AT 2012, 11:00 mins., without speech, Dir: Katharina Gruzei

What We Have Made, FR 2016, 72:00 mins., OV with subtitles, Dir: Fanny Tondre

This impressive black-and-white film captures the movements on a construction site, which appear almost choreographed, staged, while tracing a very personal portrait of the construction workers.

Sneak Preview — surprise screening, 15:00 mins., OV (in English)

Roosenberg, BE/EST 2017, 29:15 mins., OV with subtitles, Dir: Ingel Vaikla

With her sensitive and striking pictorial vocabulary, the director accompanies four nuns during their last days at Roosenberg Abbey in Belgium.
