Opinions on concrete differ. It was the most progressive raw material of the postwar period, and with decisive geometry, alongside the raw aesthetic, the Brutalist buildings pursued a social goal: Concrete made affordable and comfortable space for the masses possible.

Brutalist buildings stand for an approach that in a sometimes radical and uncompromising manner aims at changing our society. What kind of an image does concrete have today, and what do we associate with this raw material? Will these grey monsters/giants become our friends? After a visit to the exhibition we do some experiments ourselves with concrete, although on a small scale: concrete lamps, vases and other raw objects.
