The aim of the tour is for participants to get to know the city, exchange ideas and be open to new subject matter, come closer to and understand one another, resolve misunderstandings and overcome thresholds. Together we decode the architecture of Historicism, and ask questions about the function of the Ringstraße at the time it was built and its use today. We visit the visitor centre in Parliament, look into the University and the Postsparkasse, and engage with relevant topics in exercises to expand the participants’ vocabulary.
Many young people in Vienna only know the Ringstraße from having driven along it, we now take a closer look at it and attempt to show that this public space is also theirs.
