Good architecture needs good clients

It emerges where courage, responsibility, and a creative drive meet architectural expertise—and where extraordinary solutions become possible through a collaborative process.

Since 1967, the Zentralvereinigung der Architekt*innen Österreichs (Central Association of Architects of Austria) has honored outstanding projects with the Client Award—projects that serve as models in terms of their architectural quality, the execution of the respective construction task, their social commitment, and their innovative character. The focus is not only on the buildings themselves, but above all on the intensive and collaborative partnership between clients and architects.

“BHP26 ON TOUR” presents the winners of the 2026 Client Award as well as all projects selected by the nomination juries. The exhibition showcases what is currently being built in Austria, the themes shaping the field of construction, and the diversity of responsible, future-oriented building culture.
