Architects report on their projects in Iran, Nepal and Lebanon, as well as in Sao Tomé and Principe to complement the exhibition 'Global – Neutral’.
How did architecture become an instrument of international collaboration – and what role did architects play? Shahrzad Seradj-Kraupp co-founded the first women-led architectural firm in Iran. Carl Pruscha worked in Nepal for about ten years on behalf of the UN. Eugen Gross completed a health centre in Lebanon, and Gunter Wratzfeld was responsible for the construction of refugee accommodation in Sao Tomé and Principe. A conversation based on architects’ first-hand experiences of development cooperation, cultural exchange and the political realities of the Cold War.
